Good Day to be Outside
Picking a title ceased to be a speciality
The photo was taken during my trip to the Eastern Region of the UAE, though I never intended that this would go up here. It started out as an exercise in image editing since I began to shoot everything in RAW format. Usually, I would use RAW only if I had the intention to do something with it (usually an HDR). Not that I ever underestimated the power of RAW, but I never appreciated how much room it would give me in salvaging a standard, thoughtless shot.
Shades of Grey
Rolls of fog swept the desert early this morning. The fog was moving quick so by the time I prepped my camera, the scene I wanted to take has long changed. There were several rolls of fog forming about the trees, filtering some of the sunlight through. Too bad though, the moment was gone, but this was the closest one, until another foggy morning pods along.
Conquest
Our little planet is amusing, isn’t it?
This is actually the Dead Sea, from Jordan’s side of the world. The silhouette beneath the sun are mountains.
It’s a panorama of 8 vertical shots taken in RAW. 5 different exposures were produced, all stitched together, and used HDR software to create the HDR. I then used =mental3pal‘s excellent tutorial: [link] to create the little planet, and vignette added in Lightroom.
