Downtown Amman

This photo is actually quite old, from my first visit to Amman in 2008. I just had the time to sit with it and edit it.

I am not totally satisfied with the results (the left minaret is a bit too skewed) but I like the overall sense of awe with the monochrome effect.

Blueming

Trying out some new Photoshop techniques and filters :)

Shot at the foot of Burj Khalifa.

Cosmic Cataclysm

When the world ends in my eyes I see…
Would the sky blacken?
Would the world be ashen?
What would the homes we built be…

Over Sleepy Town

Sednaya, Syria

I think I am developing a sun fetish :S

It was a pleasure and a pain taking this shot as I did not have a tripod with me on this trip. I had to rely on whatever rocks and debris where there to stabilize my camera, and I didn’t even have a shutter release… so keeping the camera still was quite a pain.

I practiced a little bit before the sun started to set so I can find the best spot to take the photo from without lots of nudging about. Finally I was able to find the perfect piece of rock custom-eroded by the weather to fit my 450D! LOL!

With dad shouting in the background informing me we should leave, I took multiple exposures and ran off before he left me for good to find my way back to Damascus on my own.

Sigh!

Sunset on the Pier

This is my first (successful?) HDR attempt, made from eight different exposures. Reprocessed again for the purposes of this gallery.

Feedback welcome :)
